The Kemp Deep Litter Rake Powered (DSVA) is designed for levelling deep-bedded cubicles, particularly lime-straw bedding. The powered tines loosen the top layer of the lying area, making compacted bedding even and soft again. The Deep Litter Rake Powered is available in two versions.

The Kemp Deep Litter Rake Powered (DSVA) is designed for levelling deep-bedded cubicles, particularly lime-straw bedding. Adding lime to the bedding helps reduce the risk of diseases and bacteria in cows. A disadvantage of lime is that it can cause the bedding to become compacted, making it difficult to level with a rake or a non-powered deep litter rake.
By using a powered version with tines, the top layer of the bedding is loosened, creating an even and soft lying area again.
With this Deep Litter Rake Powered, the wheel loader moves the ridges of bedding from underneath the floating cubicle divider back into the lying area in a single pass. This makes the bed more even and softer and allows the bedding to dry more effectively, helping to reduce the risk of disease. By pushing the bedding ridge back into the lying area, less frequent refilling is required while maintaining a sufficient layer of bedding. This reduces bedding consumption.
The Deep Litter Rake Powered can be used on both the left and right side and is operated with two double-acting hydraulic valves. If two double-acting valves are not available, an optional control valve can be supplied. The rake is swivelled using the wheel loader’s tilting function. Because the rake can be used on both sides of the vehicle, there is no need to turn the machine around.
Versions
The Deep Litter Rake Powered is available in two different types:
The DSVA is suitable for mini wheel loaders and is available with a working width of 1,000 mm or 1,350 mm inside the cubicle.
The DSVZA is suitable for larger wheel loaders and is also available with a working width of 1,000 mm or 1,350 mm inside the cubicle.
As the DSVZA is designed for heavier vehicles, it features a reinforced construction and a wider base, allowing wider vehicles to be attached.
The Deep Litter Rake Powered comes standard with interchangeable mounting plates.

Explanation of option 6/2:
A 6/2 valve is a hydraulic valve that allows two functions to be switched using one hydraulic connection. This is used when multiple functions need to be operated, but the vehicle is limited in the number of hydraulic connections.
Using this valve, one hydraulic function allows the choice between rotating the disc and folding the deep spreader leveler.
