Double Silage pusher (DVB)

The Kemp Double Silage Pusher (DVB) is designed for efficiently pushing feed towards the feeding area in the barn. Thanks to the double design, it can work on both sides without the operator having to leave the cab, making it ideal for livestock farmers who want to work quickly and efficiently. The machine is available in several versions and can be easily attached to a tractor, telehandler or (mini) wheel loader.

Advantages

  • Double design for efficiently pushing feed on both sides
  • Work without leaving the cab, allowing fast and easy operation
  • Thanks to the special construction, the tyres always rotate in the correct direction
  • The tyres can be locked so that residual feed can be pushed up easily

Description Specifications

Construction
The Double Silage Pusher (DVB) is built around two tractor tyres mounted on galvanised stars with wheel hubs. This construction allows the tyres to rotate freely and move the feed easily towards both sides of the feed barrier.

Attachment
The DVB is suitable for use on wheel loaders, telehandlers and front loaders with a bucket. The sides of the bucket mounting are adjustable, allowing the silage pusher to be adapted to a different or new bucket.

In addition, the DVB can be supplied with ACCGPG or a three-point linkage, depending on the type of vehicle and application.

Operation
Because the tyres are mounted at an angle to the frame, they start rotating automatically as soon as they come into contact with the feed. This moves the feed efficiently towards the sides and the feed barrier.

For proper operation, it is important that the tyres extend beyond both sides of the vehicle. This ensures that the feed is pushed alongside the vehicle and remains easily accessible to the cows. For this reason, the vehicle width must be specified when ordering. When choosing the bucket mounting, the bucket width must also be specified.

Versions
In addition to the standard version (DVB), a heavy-duty version is also available: the DVBZ.

This version is reinforced at several points and is equipped with a wheel hub with 6 mounting points and a star with 6 spokes. In addition, thicker box sections are used in the construction, making it suitable for more intensive use. The heavy-duty version is also available with bucket mounting.

See the Specifications section for more information and the available options.

The DVB is available in different types. The main differences per type are shown in the table below.

Type Design Connection Spokes
DVBBI Standard With bucket insert 5
DVB Standard Without bucket insert, prepared for attachments 5
DVBZBI Heavy With bucket insert 6
DVBZ Heavy Without bucket insert, prepared for attachments 6

Additionally, the types can be expanded with options, depending on the type of vehicle and application.

Options Description Suitable for type:
HK Angle iron
  • DVBBI
  • DVBZBI
DVBB Tube for cutting blade bucket
  • DVBBI
  • DVBZBI
DVBAL Bucket insert and attachments
  • DVBBI
  • DVBZBI

Explanation of options:

HK: the angle iron ensures the machine can be securely clamped into the bucket with the upper clamp, preventing it from shifting or rotating during operation.

DVBB: the adjustable tube is mounted on the machine and allows the machine to be securely clamped into a bucket with a cutting blade. This creates a stable attachment and prevents the machine from shifting or rotating during operation.

DVBAL: this option equips the machine with a bucket insert, allowing it to be easily scooped up with the bucket. Additionally, the machine is prepared for attachments, enabling attachments to be easily bolted on. (see image)
