Tube hitching system (SK)

The Kemp Tube Hitching System (SK) is designed to automatically connect the suction hose to the slurry tanker without leaving the cab. The system consists of a hose clamp mounted on the tanker and a trolley on which the hose can rest. Thanks to the automatic venting system, no slurry leaks out when the hose is disconnected.

Advantages

  • Automatic connection of the suction hose without leaving the cab
  • Automatic venting prevents leakage when disconnecting
  • Choice of 6” or 8” connection
  • Operated with 1 double-acting hydraulic valve + float position
Step 1 Choose type of hose coupling system
Description Specifications

Construction
The Tube Hitching System can be easily mounted in place of the existing shut-off valve using four bolts and two hydraulic hoses. This allows the system to be installed quickly on existing slurry tankers.

The construction is designed to keep the distance between the shut-off valve and the rubber seal to a minimum. This helps keep the system leak-free during transport. In addition, there are no sharp bends in the system, ensuring good flow and preventing suction loss during operation.

Thanks to its compact design, the Tube Hitching System is lighter than a traditional suction arm.

Operation
The Tube Hitching System is operated with one double-acting hydraulic valve with float position. An automatic venting system is also fitted to the Tube Hitching System and is operated simultaneously with the shut-off valve.

When the tank is full, the hydraulics can be set to float position. This closes the shut-off valve and opens the vent. As a result, air is drawn into the hose, allowing the slurry in the hose to flow back into the pit.

This prevents slurry from leaking when the hose is disconnected and allows the system to be uncoupled cleanly.

Versions
Depending on the connection, a 6-inch or 8-inch version can be selected.

The Tube Hitching System must be mounted at an angle of 20° to ensure correct alignment and loading. If this angle cannot be achieved, a wedge must be fitted.

PLEASE NOTE: When ordering, please specify whether the system will be mounted on the left or right side of the tanker. If possible, we recommend mounting it on the right-hand side.

See the Specifications section for more information and the available options.

The SK is available in various types. The differences per type are displayed in the table below.

Types Version Remark
