The hose coupling system (SK) from Kemp has been developed to automatically connect the suction hose to the slurry tank without dismounting. The system consists of a hose clamp on the tank and a cart on which the hose can rest. Thanks to the automatic venting, no slurry leaks when disconnecting the hose.
Advantages
Construction
The hose coupling system can easily be mounted in place of the existing valve using four bolts and two hydraulic hoses. This makes the system quick to install on existing slurry tanks.
The structure is designed so that the distance between the valve and the rubber seal is minimal. As a result, the system remains leak-free during transport. Additionally, there are no sharp bends in the system, ensuring good flow and preventing suction loss during operation.
Thanks to its compact design, the hose coupling system has a lower weight compared to a traditional suction arm.
Operation
The operation of the hose coupling system is done using one double-acting hydraulic valve with a float position. An automatic vent is also installed on the hose coupling system. This is operated simultaneously with the valve.
When the tank is full, the hydraulics can be set to the float position. This closes the valve and opens the vent. As a result, air is drawn into the hose, causing the slurry in the hose to flow back into the pit.
The result is that there is no slurry leakage during disconnection of the hose, allowing the system to be cleanly disconnected.
Execution
Depending on the connection, a choice can be made between a 6-inch or 8-inch version.
NOTE: When ordering, specify whether the system will be mounted on the left or right side of the tank. We recommend, if possible, mounting it on the right side.
See the specifications section for more information and options.
The SK is available in various types. The differences per type are displayed in the table below.
| Types | Version | Remark |
| SK6 | 6'' version | Fully supplied, without suction hose |
| SK8 | 8'' version | Fully supplied, without suction hose |
Additionally, the different types can be extended with options depending on the type of vehicle.
| Options | Description | Suitable for types |
| SK8-6 | Male coupling with 6'' hose nozzle for SK8 | SK8 |
| KEG | Advised mounting angle 20 degrees, otherwise keg (See image) | All types |
| SK-KAR | Separate trolley with nozzle and coupling | All types |
