This bale clamp has a heavier-duty construction than the BK, BKS, BKC and BKZ and is designed for applications requiring maximum clamping force. The BKZXL is suitable for use with heavy wheel loaders and telehandlers.
Construction
The extra heavy-duty bale clamp (BKZXL) features a very heavy-duty construction with clamping arms and four sliding box sections made from 10 mm thick steel, ensuring stable and reliable operation. The use of four sliding box sections distributes the clamping force over the full height of the clamp. This allows the clamping arms to be kept narrow, making it easier to pick up and place bales from a stack.
A 25 mm reinforcement strip is welded into the corners of the clamping arms, providing additional strength and making the construction suitable for intensive use.
The clamping arms are bent from a single Ø76 × 8 mm steel tube. The clamping arms have a height of approximately 600 mm, ensuring that the clamping force is distributed effectively across the bale. The working length of the clamping arms is approximately 1,120 mm, providing a stable and secure grip on the bale.
Plastic guides are fitted inside the sliding box sections. This reduces wear and makes the bale clamp low-maintenance in use.
The cylinders have dimensions of approximately 40 × 70 × 900 mm and provide sufficient clamping force for safely handling heavy bales.
The clamping arms are fully galvanised. The zinc coating protects the machine against corrosion, weather and dirt, ensuring a long service life.
The extra heavy-duty bale clamp has an empty weight of approximately 595 kg.
Versions
The extra heavy-duty bale clamp (BKZXL) comes standard with a pilot-operated check valve, pressure relief valve and a removable frame for a second bale, allowing two bales to be transported at the same time.
The heavy-duty XL bale clamp (BKZXL) is available in three types. One of these is the BKZXLD (double version). This version is equipped with an additional clamping arm in the centre of the bale clamp, allowing two bales to be picked up and moved side by side. The clamping range is approximately 900–1,900 mm per side and can be mechanically adjusted to approximately 1,100–2,100 mm, depending on the application and type of bale.
The bale clamp comes standard with hoses and a male coupling. It is also supplied with attachment hooks suitable for your vehicle.
